What Exactly Is A Biomedical or Medical Research Study?

Think back to the last time you had a prescription filled or took a medicine for your fever or used any one of the hundreds of medications in use today to treat high blood pressure, diabetes, psoriasis or any one of a thousand different health problems.

Each one of those medications had to go through a rigorous testing program to ensure they worked effectively, were safe to use and to find out what side affects my occur. Part of that testing involves everyday people like you and me. Medical research studies provide important information on how a potential new or improved medication will work.

When you participate in a medical research study you will be helping to answer questions on how a particular new or improved medication works. All medical research studies are closely monitored for accuracy and safety during each phase of testing.
